Nicolas Cage And Justin Bartha Are National Treasures In Washington DC

Apart from Pirates of Caribbean, National Treasure should be the second most popular franchise that you can think of from Disney. While the former was always shot in hot (in terms of temperature!) places, many movie locations of the latter are found in Washington DC.
While many major movie locations of National Treasure: Book of Secrets are the same as the ones discussed in the previous posts, some minor and yet, exciting movie locations should be introduced via this post, which makes this blog and you, as a movie and travel fan, special.

At the fifth second of the video, the camera zoomed in to show the AFL-CIO, which is the The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations. It is a voluntary federation of 56 national and international labor unions. Click the link to understand more about the movie location before you visit, especially if you are an alien (not referring to James Cameron's ones!).

The church where Justin Bartha and the rest of the crew were at is called, St. John's Church, Lafayette Square. It is a downtown Episcopal parish. St. John's welcomes all to come and worship—whether prospective or regular members, persons seeking a moment of solitude during the day, or visitors to the city looking for a Sunday service in English or Spanish. Even if you are not religious, you should still visit the church, because it is only about a block away from the White House (see previous posts about how to get there and what movies were shot nearby!)

If you want to stay in this movie location, you can, because The Hay-Adams hotel is opposite to St. John's Church. The Hay-Adams is one of Washington DC’s most revered landmarks. This classic historic hotel in Washington DC is named after the distinguished residents who previously lived on its site: John Hay, Private Assistant to President Abraham Lincoln and later Secretary of State, and Henry Adams, an acclaimed author and descendant of U.S. Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

Therefore, this time you do not only visit the movie locations but you can actually stay in the center where the movies were made, which enrich not only your movie but also, travel (and history?) experience.

Now it is your turn to do some writing about your stay at the hotel, the church, etc. Let's share some of your stories to make this blog as special as you and do not forget to share it via facebook, twitter, e-mail and everything else!
